Were looking for a seasoned
Supply Chain Manager
to lead procurement, inventory, and supplier strategies that directly impact the performance and profitability of our heavy equipment rental fleet. This senior leadership role manages $65M+ in annual spend across parts, consumables, services, and indirect categories, ensuring the right parts and materials are in the right place at the right time to keep our fleet running. Reporting to the Vice President of Asset Management, youll lead a national team of buyers and inventory specialists, and chair our Cost Optimization Teamdriving at least $3M in annual savings while improving fleet readiness and operational efficiency. Fleet Support & Availability
Ensure critical parts, consumables, and services are available to support maximum uptime of cranes, trucks, and rental equipment. Balance operational urgency with cost efficiency, lead times, and working capital constraints.
Supply Chain Leadership
Lead, mentor, and hold accountable a distributed team of buyers, planners, and inventory managers. Serve as the companys supply chain subject matter expert, guiding decision-making at both strategic and operational levels.
Vendor & Supplier Management
Build and execute supplier strategies that deliver reliability, quality, and cost savings. Negotiate national and regional contractsfocused on total value and lifecycle support, not just lowest price. Identify, qualify, and onboard alternative suppliers to mitigate risk and strengthen the supply chain.
Cost Optimization & Strategy
Chair the Cost Optimization Team, aligning supply chain initiatives with $3M+ annual savings goals. Partner with Finance, Fleet, and Operations to support budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking.
Inventory & Systems Optimization
Optimize inventory levels across depots and service centersreducing downtime while minimizing excess. Enhance procurement visibility, control, and workflow efficiency within Microsoft D365 and related ERP/PO platforms.
Requirements
8+ years of supply chain leadership experience, preferably in heavy equipment, construction, rental, or asset-intensive sectors. Demonstrated ability to manage eight-figure budgets with measurable results. Strong negotiation instinctscan stand your ground and extract value without damaging supplier relationships. Proven success in leading cross-functional teams to hit defined cost savings goals. ERP fluencyideally Microsoft D365 or comparable (SAP, Oracle, etc.). Requisition/PO Platformideally Coupa or comparable. Bachelors degree required. CPSM, CPM, or related certifications highly preferred. Analytical mindsetable to cut through noise and focus on what moves the needle. Benefits
