Overview

Commercial IT is seeking an experienced Senior System Architect to join our team and lead digital transformation and application modernization initiatives. The Senior System Architect Platform, Energy Trading & Risk Management (ETRM) will support the ION RightAngle platform and collaborate closely with product owners, product managers, and other Commercial IT product line architects. This role is responsible for developing and communicating the technical vision and roadmap for the ETRM product line, ensuring that solutions align with business priorities, strategic goals, and technical standards within the Scaled Agile Framework SAFe. This position belongs to a family of jobs with increasing responsibility, competency, and skill level. Actual position title and pay grade will be based on the selected candidate's experience and qualifications. Key Responsibilities Assist in designing governance and standards activities for technology architecture compliance. Participate in hardware and software technology and product standards selection. Participate in system architect reviews and ensure architecture adherence. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure system architecture alignment with business objectives. Identify organizational and financial impacts of technology architecture. Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, platforms, and frameworks for systems. Assess technology industry and market trends and their impact on the enterprise. Advise on technology investment decisions. Analyze and translate business and technical requirements into system designs. Design and implement end-to-end system architectures that meet business requirements. Define system integration approaches and ensure interoperability of system components. Provide guidance and support to development teams during system implementation. Lead technology change initiatives to deliver business outcomes. May oversee technology implementation and modification activities. Document and communicate technology architecture design and analysis work. Lead the development of system architecture documentation and diagrams.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of relevant architecture experience. 5+ years of ION RightAngle experience. Intermediate .NET/C# experience. Intermediate SQL Server experience. Microsoft Azure experience. Complex, multi-application integration experience preferred. Application Performance Monitoring tool experience preferred (Dynatrace, App Insights, SolarWinds DPA). Scaled Agile Framework experience preferred.

Skills and Capabilities

Process Orchestration coordinate and automate workflows across systems. Strategic Outlook develop long-term plans aligning with MPCs strategy. System Reliability design for high availability and reliability. Systems Design design technical solutions that meet requirements and standards.
