Pacs/Imaging Architect
Under the direction of the Interoperability Manager the PACS/Imaging Architect provides consultation and assistance to users of the imaging solutions to include analyzing user requirements; designing and developing the workflows to support the imaging environment; troubleshooting and resolving issues; training users; and writing user and system documentation. Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a computer or imaging related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Evidence of ability to analyze and translate user requirements into specifications and prepare detailed design/implementation documentation. Demonstrated ability in analytical reasoning and logical problem solving. Significant experience and expertise in system architecture, application design, build, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting. Demonstrated ability to use PACS/Imaging applications for collaboration and communication both internally and with Imaging partners. Ability to advocate for appropriate technology solutions and to continually advance the organization's readiness and capabilities. Experience with PACS/Imaging solutions Experience with PACS/Imaging Integrations and reporting Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and changing business requirements Excellent understanding of business complexity and project interdependence Ability to partner with multiple stakeholders and influence project decisions Preferred:
Experience with agile project management. Firsthand implementation experience Master's degree in computer or imaging related field Skills, Experience and Licensure:

Users in this role will be responsible for any of the following:
Imaging areas including but not limited to radiology, cardiology, ophthalmology, endoscopy, ultrasound PACS VNA Change Management Testing Coordination Data Conversion Integration Business Intelligence development
Define and champion the long-term technology vision for our PACS/Imaging environment. Develop solutions and processes that support the growth of PACS/Imaging at Halifax Health Plan, lead, and facilitate architecture workshops for new PACS/Imaging modules and optimizations. Work with the other members of the Clinical Applications team to help define the scope of each project via a broader solution/visioning conversation. Provide functional oversight to ensure there is a consistent approach across each functional workstream. Serve as a technology advocate and thought leader within the assigned area, inspiring productive change through technology solutions, guiding application strategy, and providing recommendations for the portfolio roadmap. Architect, design, and develop "best-in-class" software system services by ensuring they are well-defined & modularized, secure & reliable, reusable, and actively monitored. Lead software applications and systems engineering discussions, capturing key design decisions in defined systems architecture, and assessing impacts to overall technology performance. Engage with and influence senior leadership and other technical experts Propose most-effective architectural solutions Stay educated on existing PACS/Imaging functionality and future product releases. Drive processes for continuous learning and development across teams, mentoring and guiding when required to ensure quality and productivity. Install and configure applications. Add, modify, and audit system/user permission to applications, maintain appropriate system security levels and continually improve enterprise threat posture. Participate in purchasing decisions, testing and presales due diligence including tech reviews. Detect and troubleshoot application slowness and resource contention. Provide continuous planned uptime and participate in rotating on-call duties, planning and implementation. Understand the underlying application schema and be a data steward to assist in queries, views, stored procedures, reports, and ETLs. Develop diagrams and flow charts for end users to follow. Prepares reports on the application; writes documentation to describe application logic, and corrections as needed; creates any needed instruction manuals or help screens describing installation and operating procedures; and maintains documentation as necessary for operational and security audits. Train and support the staff in using the applications. Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution. Physical Demands:
