Job Title: Cath Lab Tech

License: State Radiologic License
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT Registered
Must-Have:
- Need to scrub health catheterizations and interventional radiology cases.
- Knowledge of anatomy, exposure, positioning, physics, radiation protection, and medical terminology.
Description:
The Cath Lab Radiologic Technologist will assist the Interventional Cardiologist for diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Roles include scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating during procedures.
The technologist must have knowledge of the X-ray equipment in use and hemodynamic monitoring.
Understanding of coronary and peripheral anatomy is essential, as well as sterile technique.
Additionally, the technologist will assist the Interventional Radiologist for minimally invasive, image-guided vascular procedures.
Must have familiarity with imaging equipment in use, including fluoroscopy, computed tomography, and ultrasound.
The technologist will also assist the Electrophysiologist for non-invasive and invasive procedures.
Knowledge of arrhythmia monitoring, cardiac structures, and anatomy of the heart chambers is required.
Competence in assisting the Neuro Interventional Radiologist for diagnostic and interventional procedures is needed.
The role includes understanding X-ray equipment, hemodynamic monitoring, cerebral angiogram coiling, and interventions related to strokes.
All candidates should demonstrate proficiency in maintaining a sterile field during procedures.
The position requires participation in call rotations and weekend shifts.
Interdisciplinary collaboration is essential to ensure comprehensive patient care.
