Network Engineer

to join us. This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining client networks while serving as a trusted advisor to our partners. Responsibilities

Design, configure, and implement networking solutions (switching, routing, firewall, wireless, WAN). Provide technology consulting and act as a trusted advisor for client IT initiatives. Deliver projects on time, on budget, and with a focus on client satisfaction. Conduct site walk-throughs for surveys, installations, and bids. Mentor team members and share knowledge of best practices. Troubleshoot and support multi-vendor environments, including Cisco, Meraki, Aruba, Fortinet, and Palo Alto. Automate configurations and monitor devices using Python, APIs, or scripting technologies. Build strong client relationships through clear, professional communication. Qualifications

Preferred bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline and four+ years of experience; or an associate’s degree coupled with six+ years of experience working with networking, including switching, routing, firewall, wireless, and WAN technologies. CCNA or another network vendor equivalent certification preferred. Three to five years’ experience or education in IT, Computer Science, or the network field. Previous experience delivering small to enterprise networking projects consisting of switching, routing, wireless, and firewall technologies. Understanding basic security concepts and best practices as they relate to networking technologies. In-depth knowledge of industry-standard best practices for networking and wireless, networking protocols and networking architecture. Working knowledge of multi-vendor networking equipment and programming languages such as Cisco, Meraki, Aruba, and Extreme, Python, and JAVA, etc. Working knowledge of scripting technologies such as Python for configuration automation. Working knowledge of APIs, monitoring, and configuration modifications of network devices. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with emphasis on timely response. Ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical users. Strong organizational skills. Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to effectively manage time in a multitasking environment, ensuring efficiency and productivity. Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks. Ability to provide excellent customer service and build positive relationships with clients. Customer-focused mindset and ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license with the willingness and ability to travel to support clients throughout the 5 boroughs and tri-state area. Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. independently. Able to perform on-site installations and provide support during normal business hours. Available to support on-site installations or respond to issues after hours, as required. Ability to work on multi-vendor networking technologies (Cisco, Meraki, Aruba, Fortinet, Palo Alto, etc.) Ability to configure, deploy, support, and troubleshoot network environments, including switching, routing, firewall, wireless, and WAN technologies. Ability and willingness to be flexible with work hours for delivering projects (some evenings and weekends for network integrations, according to client needs). Why Join Us?
