About The Company
Our client is a pioneering advanced energy technology company developing first-of-a-kind (FOAK) clean energy infrastructure projects in the United States. They are at a critical inflection point following significant capital raises and strong federal policy tailwinds, with a clear mission to deliver reliable, carbon-free baseload power at scale. The company partners with data centers and other large energy users to deploy multi-billion-dollar energy projects, supported by substantial public and private financing initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to join a high-growth innovator poised to transform the clean energy sector.
Role Overview The Senior Director, Project Finance will lead the structuring, financing, and execution of the company’s multi-billion-dollar project pipeline. This individual will play a pivotal role in capital formation, scalable project structuring, and execution of complex financings—working across debt, equity, tax equity, and government-backed solutions.
The position will have regular exposure to senior executives, investors, and government stakeholders, making it one of the most impactful roles within the company.
Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project structuring, offtake agreements, and risk allocation.
Build and maintain detailed financial models incorporating technical, regulatory, and commercial inputs.
Engage with banks, infrastructure funds, tax credit investors, and government agencies to secure capital.
Develop scalable templates, processes, and term sheets to support future project rollouts.
Contribute to building and mentoring a high-performing project finance team.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in project finance or investment banking, ideally within the power/utility-scale infrastructure sector.
Proven track record closing $1B+ in aggregate transactions.
Stable career history with long tenures.
Experience with independent power producers, developers, or investment banks highly valued.
Strong financial modeling and deal-structuring expertise.
Established network of project finance lenders and investors.
Experience building and leading high-performing teams.
Familiarity with ERP/accounting systems and subsidiary-level project finance processes is a plus.
Bonus: Experience with FOAK energy technologies and/or DOE Loan Programs Office.
This is a career-defining opportunity to join a company reinventing clean baseload power and enabling decarbonization at scale for the world’s largest energy users.
