Position Overview

ICJIA is looking for a highly experienced and passionate developer to join a small but growing team (4-7 staff) that conducts application development services for its InfoNet and other in-house systems to improve crime victim/survivor services and criminal justice administration across Illinois. InfoNet is a web-based custom application used by over 100 external nonprofit organizations serving survivors of violence and abuse. These organizations use InfoNet to track services to survivors and the community and improve their work. Duties will include designing, developing, testing, debugging, implementing new application and reporting tools, and drafting system documentation for InfoNet and possibly other ICJIA systems. Minimum Qualifications Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to the completion of a four-year degree in computer science or related field. Requires a minimum of three (3) years of professional experience as an application developer with demonstrated experience and proficiency applying each of the following technology tools and skills: Design, development, and solution of applications using the Microsoft .Net framework version 4 or higher, including ASP.NetRazor Page, Model View Controller (MVC), and Entity Framework (E/F); Front end development using JavaScript, e.g., JQuery; Database development using Microsoft SQL Server.
Preferred Qualifications
Prefers four (4) or more years of experience designing, developing, and supporting applications using the Microsoft .Net 4.x or higher framework, including ASP.Net Razor Page, Model View Controller (MVC), Entity Framework (E/F), Visual Studio, and C#. Prefers four (4) or more years of experience using Microsoft SQL Server for database development, developing stored procedures, functions, and views; and SQL Integration Services. JQuery and/or Angular JS. Language Integrated Query (LINQ) Ajax Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) Prefers completion of graduate coursework in computer science or a related field and/or professional certifications in application development, e.g., Microsoft Certified Professional Developer. Prefers two (2) or more years of experience using source control tool Git and the Agile/Scrum process. Prefers two (2) or more years of experience using multi-tier system development. Prefers two (2) or more years of experience using full life cycle development.
Conditions of Employment
Requires proper documentation for approved work in the United States. Requires regular travel to research project/ program evaluation sites throughout the state of Illinois. Requires a valid and current drivers license. Requires completion of a background check and self-disclosure of criminal history.

ICJIA convenes groups and collaborates on efforts to reform the criminal justice system. ICJIA leads criminal justice reform efforts by supporting policy makers through research. Revolving Door:
