Executive Assistant

Friends of Tryon Creek . The Executive Assistant will provide administrative and operational support to the Executive Director. They are responsible for supporting the board of directors, fundraising, and special projects. Friends of Tryon Creek (FOTC) seeks an individual who is highly organized, has strong attention to detail, and can communicate to diverse audiences through a variety of mediums, including board members, staff colleagues, partners, and other organizations to further our mission. Responsibilities include daily fundraising operations, database development tasks, and more. The Executive Assistant works closely with the FOTC Development Team. Responsibilities
Development and Board Management (70%)
Work with Development Director to stay updated on campaigns, grants, and donor gifts. Gift entry, membership updates, tracking donor interactions and weekly donation reports in donor database (NEON CRM). Prepare and mail donor acknowledgements weekly; includes handwritten thank you cards, receipts, new member letters, and preparing acknowledgements for the Executive Director with donor details. Provide administrative support and communications pertaining to board-related meetings, activities, events, retreats and travel logistics. Maintain meeting spaces (set up meetings, ensure a clean space, and stock supplies).
Executive Assistance (30%)
Support the Executive Director in correspondence, development-related tasks, and additional duties as assigned. Support the Executive Director primarily and provide additional support to team members, as directed, to ensure organizational goals and objectives are accomplished and that operations run efficiently.
Job Qualifications
4+ years of experience in administrative and/or operations work (College degree(s) and/or coursework can substitute as years of experience). Demonstrated verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate across cultural boundaries as part of a collaborative team. Attention to administrative details, ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and achieve goals. Time management skills and ability to coordinate multiple concurrent projects. Flexible team player, willing to adapt to changes. Organization Background
