Overview
Environmental Project Manager – FERC Natural Gas Projects role at
WSP in the U.S.
in the New York City office, with consideration for Washington DC, Valhalla, NY, Sheldon CT or Morristown NJ. This is a full-time, salaried position with a benefits package and remote work-from-home option. Responsibilities
Manage multiple projects in various phases of development and geographic locations, from routing/siting to construction compliance Direct resource teams on environmental studies and permit applications including FERC Section 7, Blanket Project authorizations, and Third-party EA/EIS documents Coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies for project permitting Develop business opportunities, write proposals, prepare presentations, and support project capture Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams (engineers, attorneys, planners, GIS analysts, permitting and environmental resource specialists, land agents, and construction monitors) Communicate with the public and community stakeholders at hearings and public meetings Coordinate with clients to prepare and monitor project scope, budget, schedule, and forecasting Participate in field reviews, project compliance inspections, and site meetings Travel up to 25% of time for client and internal meetings Qualifications
Required Qualifications
B.S. or B.A. in Environmental Planning, Geography, Environmental Science, or related degree Minimum twelve (12) years of professional experience managing environmental licensing and permitting of pipelines Expertise in regulations pursuant to the Natural Gas Act administered by FERC with working knowledge of other applicable federal environmental regulations Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to define and understand client requirements, manage expectations, and communicate with clients and project staff Proficiency with Microsoft Office Self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications
Professional certifications applicable to technical expertise Master's Degree in Environmental Planning, Geography, Environmental Science, or related field Benefits

Expected Salary (all locations): $139,800-$220,150 WSP USA reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range and to offer additional benefits based on circumstances not related to protected status. About WSP
