Summary The Production Shift Supervisor will report to the Operations Leader and Site Leader, providing hands-on leadership during production shifts to ensure safe and timely completion of production schedules while continuously improving efficiency and reducing costs in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. Primary Responsibilities Demonstrate exemplary leadership by adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety programs, health and safety protocols, and company policies. Lead production Line Leaders and Team Leaders, promoting a culture of respect and teamwork. Coordinate department schedules, products, and manpower to ensure smooth operations. Ensure production schedules are met consistently. Address and resolve any issues that arise during shifts. Provide necessary training and orientation to optimize workforce effectiveness. Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing standards and conducting regular inspections. Assist with testing new equipment, methods, and troubleshooting processes as needed. Utilize the SAP and WMS systems effectively. Complete daily reports on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and monitor team progress towards targets. Manage and update the Skills Matrix and schedule rotations for the shift. Create and manage weekly shift schedules with appropriate staffing levels. Support leadership in addressing performance issues and completing feedback processes. Prepare Daily Huddle Sheets for team leaders prior to shifts. Facilitate communication across departments via radio or cellphones. Track attendance and manage Time and Attendance (T&A) exceptions. Monitor inventory levels, ensuring timely material staging. Review and update shift reports as necessary. Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and across different sites as needed. Required Experience 3-5 years of leadership experience, preferably in manufacturing. Proven ability to motivate teams and meet schedule demands. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. Conflict resolution capabilities and ability to engage teams. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Flexibility to work various shifts if required. Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, and O.H.S.A requirements. Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
