Overview
Fundraising Sr. Director, Walk to End Alzheimer’s – National Capital Chapter. As Senior Director, Walk to End Alzheimer’s, you join an exclusive team of leaders responsible for the implementation of Walk to End Alzheimer’s, the world’s largest fundraiser for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Walk to End Alzheimer’s ranks as the second-largest peer-to-peer fundraising event in the United States and continues to set the pace as one of the fastest growing walk events in the country. In 2023, Walk to End Alzheimer’s was recognized as the #2 peer-to-peer fundraising event in the country and achieved the largest dollar growth of any program in the top 30. Responsibilities
Utilize proven networking and relationship-building skills to cultivate key community connections and drive revenue goals by identifying and engaging key C-suite corporate and community partners. Manage multiple peer-to-peer fundraising events annually, generate excitement and enthusiasm in the community, and coach and empower volunteers to ensure strong volunteer committee retention and succession planning. Set up events for long-term success by inspiring volunteers, teams, and participants to achieve fundraising goals that position the event as one of the most successful in the country. As part of the chapter leadership team, implement Walk to End Alzheimer’s to meet or exceed goals through staff training, coaching and mentoring, volunteer recruitment and empowerment, team and individual fundraising cultivation, and execution of strategies aligned with best practices. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 7-10 years of proven experience recruiting and mobilizing volunteers and community leaders to achieve goals, preferably in a peer-to-peer fundraising environment OR 7-10 years of successful experience meeting sales targets Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated management skills, including goal setting, project organization, budgeting, and accountability processes Ability to supervise Walk to End Alzheimer’s staff, including onboarding, training and development Proven track record of building sustainable corporate and community relationships contributing to organizational and revenue goals Experience developing and implementing strategies for identifying, recruiting and engaging high-level and C-Suite volunteer leadership Willingness to work with diverse communities and build an inclusive environment Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned territory by car; valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, good driving record and proof of automobile insurance may be required Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required Ability to bend, stoop, lift and transport up to 25 lbs Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, social media; ability to learn Luminate/Convio software Position Details

The Alzheimer's Association’s good faith expectation for the salary range for this role is between $115,000-$125,000 Incentive:
There is a performance-based incentive opportunity up to $13,000, depending on portfolio size and achievement of quarterly goals. Bonus:
This position is eligible for a bonus based on both individual and organizational performance. Reports To:
