SUMMARY:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to play a key role in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical and hydraulic components of our production presses and equipment. Utilizing hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments, you will ensure our operations run smoothly. Your expertise will help us minimize downtime, ultimately delivering high-quality products and efficient service to our customers. The hourly wage range for this position is $24.00 - $33.50, based on your experience. We are also open to training those with some relevant experience. RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on Web Offset presses and auxiliary equipment. Troubleshoot and repair precision machinery, interpreting blueprints, schematics, specifications, and manuals. Implement proactive maintenance strategies to reduce the need for reactive solutions. Maintain and repair systems, including bearings, gear clutches, couplings, and drive systems. Follow safety protocols while effectively communicating with press operators and team members. Perform basic welding and mechanical tasks as needed. Required Qualifications: Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, recognizing the urgency related to equipment downtime. Basic knowledge of precision testing and calibration tools for preventative maintenance. Understanding of bearings, clutches, gears, drives, and pneumatic systems. Effective troubleshooting skills and a capacity to respond swiftly to equipment issues. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must provide personal tools and safely use hand and power tools. Willingness to work a 12-hour night shift (6 p.m. - 6 a.m.), including weekends and holidays, typically 3 - 4 days a week, with a rotating Saturday schedule.
