Sellers build buyer trust, expand their customer base, and grow repeat business through engaging live streams on eBay Live. We are looking for a strong leader to lead the trading cards case breaks business on eBay Live. Live Category Managers own the P&L for their live commerce categories, driving GMV by spearheading seller acquisition, development, and a pipeline of innovative live events. Apply strategic business knowledge with a creative approach to innovate content and establish standard methodologies. What You Will Do
Lead category growth & P&L management by delivering GMV targets through strategic category plans and refining them with learnings from new content and format trials. Recruit, onboard, and cultivate a portfolio of high-potential live sellers, brands, and creators; coach sellers on live selling, including assortment, run-of-show/format ideas, on-camera performance, live engagement, and analytics-driven growth. Develop a pipeline of engaging live events, foster creative show concepts, and encourage sellers to test new interactive "shoppertainment" formats; drive editorial standards to elevate content quality and viewer experience. Track category performance and analyze outcomes from pilots and format trials to identify growth drivers; contribute to defining meaningful KPIs and scalable best practices for the evolving live commerce landscape. Partner with internal teams (marketing, product, operations) to champion seller needs, share insights, and drive platform success; lead category-specific budgets and operational aspects efficiently. Experience with live breaks in trading cards or related categories, whether professional, side project, or personal passion. A point of view on what eBay Live needs to win in this market. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to pull insights from data, test hypotheses, and synthesize qualitative and quantitative information to inform a learning agenda. Ability to work in a fast-paced startup-like environment with rapid iteration and the flexibility to work extended hours if needed. Creativity to address product gaps and grow the business. Base pay
The applicable base pay range for this position is dependent on work location. The base pay range in the San Francisco Bay Area, New York City Metro and Seattle Metro is expected to be $151,200 - $201,900. The base pay range for all other U.S. locations is expected to be $108,400 - $186,400. Base pay offered may vary based on location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may include a target bonus and restricted stock units, as well as medical, financial, and other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits). Details will be provided if an offer is extended. If hired, employees will be in an at-will position and the company reserves the right to modify base salary and other discretionary compensation programs at any time, including for performance, departmental, or market factors.
