Overview
Head of Sourcing, Demand & Supply Chain Planning role at VAST Data. This is a senior leadership role reporting to the VP of Operations, focused on building and leading a high-performing sourcing and planning organization to support the company’s growth. What You'll Do
Sourcing & Supplier Management Engage and own the commercial relationship with our key commodity suppliers and component distributors. Build, lead, and develop a high-functioning team responsible for Strategic Sourcing and Key Commodity Management. Partner with Strategy Operations VP and negotiate costs, long-term agreements (LTAs), and contracts to ensure long-range continuity of supply and service. Coordinate quarterly supplier technology/product roadmap reviews to align with our product strategy. Scale new and existing supply partners, executing creative and strategic commercial deals to achieve goals around total cost, supply, and quality. Identify new technology solutions and services to enable the next-generation roadmap for software & flight automation (including software, data, professional services). Demand & Supply Planning Lead the end-to-end demand planning process, collaborating with Sales, Product, and Finance to develop a consensus-based forecast that drives company revenue and operational goals. Translate the demand plan into a comprehensive supply and materials strategy, ensuring alignment between the unconstrained forecast and supply chain capabilities. Own and execute the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) process, ensuring timely procurement of materials to support production schedules and new product introductions. Develop and manage inventory strategies, setting targets for raw materials and finished goods to optimize for cash flow, lead times, and service levels. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as forecast accuracy, inventory turns, and on-time delivery, driving continuous improvement initiatives. Leadership & Operational Excellence Drive operational and cost efficiencies through process or design changes. Leverage cross-functional, internal relationships to effectively collaborate with stakeholders, making smart decisions with the information available.
