Job Overview
As an Apartment Maintenance Technician with Green Home Management, youll handle a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks to keep our Bradenton apartment community running smoothly. Youll work closely with the property management team to address resident requests, complete unit turnovers, and maintain the propertys safety, functionality, and curb appeal. Were looking for a proactive, detail-oriented individual with strong technical skills and a commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing (e.g., fixing leaks, unclogging drains), electrical (e.g., replacing outlets, troubleshooting lighting issues), HVAC (e.g., filter changes, basic repairs), and appliance repairs.
Complete unit turnovers efficiently, including minor painting, drywall repairs, carpet cleaning, and ensuring units are move-in ready for new .
Respond promptly to resident maintenance requests, diagnosing issues and providing effective solutions while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
Conduct regular property inspections to identify and address potential issues, such as leaks, pest concerns, or safety hazards, before they escalate.
Assist with groundskeeping tasks, such as maintaining landscaping, clearing debris, and ensuring common areas are clean and presentable.
Support the property team during emergencies, including after-hours on-call duties on a rotating schedule.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, inventory of supplies, and equipment usage, reporting any needs to the Property Manager.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in apartment maintenance, general construction, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repair techniques; certifications (e.g., HVAC, EPA Universal) are a plus.
Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently, with a focus on quality and safety.
Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact with and team members.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
Availability for on-call emergency shifts on a rotating basis.
