Job Description:

Position Salary Range: $46,000 - $48,000 per year; offer dependent on experience

Provides operational and immigration support to the International Students and Scholars Center (ISSC) Front Desk Team, coordinating administrative duties and special projects, which require a thorough knowledge of a complete, complex and specialized function.

Essential Duties: Coordinates materials and personnel to provide administrative support for the immigration needs of the ISSC while serving as a liaison between advising area and the front desk area. Provides additional oversight of the ISSC Student Worker Program including hiring, scheduling and creating/updating training materials. Completes office/administrative processes, tasks and projects that require a knowledge of immigration regulations pertaining to international students. Provides excellent customer service to students and scholars via in-person, telephone and electronic inquiries and records from a variety of sources (email, Salesforce, PeopleSoft, Sunapsis) on general matters in accordance with established guidelines and policies. Assesses and makes recommendations for improvements and office organization of the Front Desk area. Coordinates meetings and seminars as directed, arranging logistics and ensuring appropriate communications. Collaborating with other academic units and teams throughout the university to facilitate comprehensive international student support Order office supplies and track and maintain inventory of supplies. Oversight of I-9 team and process within department. Maintains complex filing and record-keeping systems while maintaining confidential information in working with student, faculty, and scholars. Work on special projects as requested by Supervisors and other duties as assigned. Desired Qualifications:

Demonstrated knowledge of immigration regulations for international students and scholars. Demonstrated knowledge of office procedures and administrative practices and principles. Experience working in a high-volume customer service environment in a higher education setting, and with diverse populations. Experience in creating and maintaining complex filing and record keeping systems. Experience in working with confidential documents and sensitive data. Experience using an online database such as Sunapsis, Salesforce, or any similar databases. Experience Using MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience in prioritizing calendars and arranging meetings. Evidence of effective communication skills. Working Environment:

Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse; required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts. Evidence of effective communication skills.

The International Students and Scholars Center is one of several departments comprising the Division of Enrollment Services which utilizes a variety of strategies to enroll and support a varied student population representative of Arizona State University's vision.

The International Students and Scholars Center is comprised of a staff of trained experts, versed in the details and requirements of academic and employment-based programs, who provide visa and immigration advice and support to visiting students and scholars. These services include oversight of visa programs, planning and coordinating orientations for the international students, and assisting with visa and immigration for new students, staff, and scholars.

Arizona State University currently enrolls over 8,000 international students from 130 countries and each year hosts nearly 700 international faculty and scholars.
