Logistics Associate - Shipping

, you'll play a critical role in supporting both clinical trial supply operations and global research collaborations by ensuring the compliant and efficient movement of materials-ranging from study drugs and medical devices to research samples and reagents.

You'll be part of the Clinical Research team, supporting over 2,000 annual shipments globally across early-stage development and clinical research. This is a unique opportunity to work onsite at a leading pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical company while enjoying the full-time benefits and support of Thermo Fisher Scientific.

This will be located on-site in Highland Heights, Kentucky

1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 8AM-5:30PM ET

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee drug and device receipt, ordering, storage, labeling, inventory, and distribution

Generate customs invoices for shipments, and ensure compliant product returns or destruction

Generate and manage Material Transfer Requests (MTRs)

Support labeling activities, sample shipments, and project coordination

Assist with deviations, investigations, change management, and CAPAs

Maintain accurate data in electronic systems and ensure alignment with GxP and client-specific SOPs

Import/Export Compliance

Prepare and maintain import documentation for U.S. Customs compliance

Ensure adherence to prototype provisions and other customs regulations

Maintain entry checklists, import logs, and documentation records

Support export functions and provide backup when needed

Participate in special projects with cross-functional teams

What You'll Bring:

Understanding of supply chain processes, customs regulations, or clinical research preferred

Strong organizational and time-management skills

Excellent attention to detail, written and verbal communication

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PDF software

Comfortable using virtual collaboration tools (e.g., MS Teams)

Collaborative and adaptable in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Education and Experience

High / Secondary school diploma or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification

Technical positions may require a certificate

Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 0 to 1 year).

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

:

Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in lab, warehouse, or office environments

Possible exposure to hazardous materials or healthcare/laboratory settings

Ability to manage multiple priorities and remain calm under pressure
