Dealer Principal Position Summary Wilkinson Chevrolet Cadillac GMC, a family-owned dealership serving Lee County and surrounding communities for over 70 years, is seeking an experienced
Office Manager / Controller
to lead our accounting operations and oversee daily administrative functions. This position plays a vital role in financial reporting, compliance, and leadership of the office team while supporting overall dealership operations. Key Responsibilities Financial Management & Accounting Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, cash flow, and reconciliations. Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements in accordance with dealership and manufacturer requirements. Manage internal controls to safeguard dealership assets and ensure compliance with GAAP. Work closely with the department managers and the Dealer Principal to monitor budgets and expenses. Review and submit factory financial statements, schedules, and reports. Coordinate year-end audits and work closely with external accountants and auditors. Office & Administrative Leadership Supervise office staff, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations. Develop, document, and implement office policies and procedures. Support HR functions including new hire processing, benefits administration, and timekeeping. Ensure efficient office operations that support dealership sales, service, and parts departments. Compliance & Reporting Maintain compliance with federal, state, and manufacturer requirements. Ensure accuracy and timely submission of DMV paperwork, tax filings, and payroll records. Prepare reports and presentations for dealership leadership. Vendor & Partner Relations Manage banking relationships, floor plan, and manufacturer financial interactions. Work with outside vendors, legal advisors, and insurance providers. Negotiate and monitor vendor contracts to maximize dealership efficiency. Qualifications Automotive dealership
accounting/controller
experience required. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, internal controls, and dealership operations. Proficiency with dealership management systems (CDK) is
a plus . Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
