Precision, contract machining business is looking for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic.
The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Mechanic is to maintain, repair or rebuild a wide variety of large and complicated machine tools and special purpose machines and plant equipment such as CNC mills, Lathes, Multi-Axis machine tools and manual shop equipment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Install, maintain, and repair plant equipment such as CNC mills, Lathes and Multi-Axis machine tools.
Inspect machines regularly for signs of malfunctions, including visual inspections, and conducting scheduled testing as appropriate
Diagnose problems, disassemble and determine extent of repairs required.
Perform routine preventative maintenance and service for each piece of equipment
Perform emergency repairs on various types of machinery, including mechanical, electric and hydraulic
Use a variety of power and hand tools to perform job functions
Maintain machinery and the adjacent workplace in a state of appropriate cleanliness; maintain a schedule for inspection, service and testing of machinery
May remove chips and turnings, keep various types separated and place in designated areas.
Remove and replenish coolants, keep separated and place in designated areas.
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work area.
Work effectively with other team members
Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing experience; 5+ years preferred
Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems or equipment.
Must be detail-oriented, dependable and trustworthy.
Must be capable of setting priorities and working under pressure.
Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
