In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping our technology solutions and services to align with CarMax's strategic goals. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with stakeholders across business units and Data & Analytics leaders to shape strategic plans and identify innovative data solutions. Clearly communicate the team's vision, ensuring alignment with the broader company strategy while providing actionable recommendations that focus on return on investment, scalability, and implementation. Deliver on commitments with a focus on results by leveraging the strengths of your team. Guide your team in designing and implementing reliable, scalable, and cost-effective Data & Analytics platforms to tackle complex business challenges. Manage cloud costs with a FinOps perspective, overseeing budgets and optimizing expenditures through strategic partnerships. Pursue operational excellence by prioritizing major incident resolution and analyzing root causes to improve platform reliability. Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements, emphasizing data quality and governance across all initiatives. Inspire and develop your teams, promoting a culture of continuous learning and engagement. Evaluate talent needs and foster development plans, focusing on mentorship and career growth. Effectively communicate updates on projects and initiatives to various levels of the organization, ensuring transparency and addressing any obstacles. Build strong relationships with customers, partners, and peers to drive common goals forward. Stay informed on industry trends to recommend cutting-edge technologies that enhance our Data & Analytics offerings. Purpose of the Role: As the Sr. Technology Manager, your primary responsibility will be to partner with business areas to provide innovative technology solutions that support CarMax's strategic mission. You'll lead a talented team of engineers, fostering a results-oriented and data-driven culture while motivating associates to produce high-quality work. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience. 8+ years in Data & Analytics roles within enterprise environments, with expertise in Data Engineering, Cloud Computing, or related fields. 5+ years of management experience, successfully leading teams. Proven experience in designing and supporting data management disciplines. Strong background in building enterprise-grade solutions using Microsoft Azure or equivalent technologies. Experience with DevOps practices, version control systems, and Agile methodologies. A strategic mindset to balance business goals with technical excellence. Exceptional communication skills to convey complex concepts to diverse stakeholders. Data & Analytics Specific Qualifications: Experience in building SaaS Data & Analytics platforms, preferably with Microsoft Azure. Familiarity with tools like Snowflake, Databricks, and Power BI. Knowledge of Data Orchestration technologies and Azure AI services. Work Authorization:
