We extend these global capabilities to the world’s leading sovereign wealth funds, pension plans, governments, financial institutions, endowments, foundations, and family offices, for which we invest or advise on over $150 billion of alternative investments, public equity strategies and fixed income strategies Controllers ensure that the firm meets all the financial control and reporting obligations of a global, regulated and public financial institution. In the Controllers Department, our professionals measure the profitability of, and risks associated with, every aspect of the firm's business. Controllers also ensure that the firm's activities are conducted in compliance with the regulations governing transactions in the financial markets. The fund accounting team within the Controllers Group is looking to add an Associate level professional (Assistant Controller, Senior Investment Accountant) in Dallas, TX. These responsibilities include investment and new product review, oversight of information prepared by third party administrators and ongoing design an execution of the control environment. The team works closely with other areas of GSAM including investment, risk, client service, operations, technology, legal and compliance. Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly accounting and reporting packages, including fund-level net asset values and investor capital statements for private equity investment funds. Prepare ad hoc reporting requests, management fee analysis, cash flow analysis, and provide assistance with client audit and financial reporting related requests. Preparation of various regulatory reports, compliance reports and reports to Board of Directors related to funds. Participate in new fund launches including the review of fund documentation (LPA/PPM/OM/Side Letters), fund set up, and vendor selection. Support team, department, and business managers on various special projects and initiatives. Manage technology by providing scope of project, managing timeline, and coordinating testing. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field 3+ years of relevant Accounting/Finance experience Ideally a CPA holder (or candidate) with investment company experience Experience working with debt and equity investments Experience with private equity fund or hedge fund clients Strong Excel skills and technical knowledge of accounting/financial reporting Detail oriented and strong analytical/problem solving skills Ability to have autonomy and work independently as a key member of a team in a fast paced environment under challenging deadlines Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Skilled in use of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) ABOUT GOLDMAN SACHS At Goldman Sachs, we commit our people, capital and ideas to help our clients, shareholders and the communities we serve to grow.
