Market Leader

is the leader of a public infrastructure focused team for the assigned market sector. The Market Leader’s responsibilities include: business development, recruiting, and developing team members, and executing the work while meeting financial and team member growth targets. Responsibilities Working in partnership with WGI’s Civil Public Infrastructure Group Management team, this position is responsible for developing and directing business opportunities for clients in the public infrastructure market in water, wastewater, stormwater, and roadway infrastructure. Duties will include: maintaining and expanding existing client relationships; identifying, establishing and developing relationships with new target clients; developing market networks; and positioning the firm and pursuit team leadership for project pursuits that result in client selection and contractual awards. In partnership with program and operations leadership, develop and implement strategic and targeted goals and that align with meeting the division annual goals. Analyze and qualify potential clients that align with professional and financial value to the firm. Assist in building relationships with key decision makers of targeted clients. Partner with the Director of Public Infrastructure and Market Sector Leaders, Project Managers, and other leaders within the firm in pursuit of new opportunities Work directly with the marketing services team in preparation of collateral materials such as qualifications packages, proposals, interview presentations, specialty brochures, and other marketing information promoting our services, such as white papers. Lead pursuit teams to develop and implement successful proposal and interview strategies resulting in shortlist and selection. Coordinate and participate in industry conferences, professional associations, and other external organizations to develop business contacts, promote WGI, and engage potential clients and partner firms. Communication Ensure the public market team is responsive and communicates effectively. Receive client feedback and relay praise to team or provide corrective measures. Accuracy Coordinate with and mentor Project Managers to provide quality projects that ensure client satisfaction. Develop and implement policies, standards and procedures for the engineering /technical work performed in the market sector in associated offices utilizing company-wide standards. Transparency Prepare solicitation responses, proposals, project scope and fee and seek appropriate contract approvals. Ensure that every project has a signed contract prior to initiating work to establish a baseline for client billing. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a professional, engineering, or related field Ten or more years of experience post-graduation in public infrastructure focused project management consulting industry Proven business/ client development success in public infrastructure consulting Existing network of regional public infrastructure leaders highly desired Experience in the development and management of diverse teams Professional Engineer (PE) license or MBA (as appropriate to degree) Willingness to travel as project work requires Commitment to WGI’s core values of quality work and continuous improvement Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis.
