Audio/Visual Engineer
Six+ month W2 (ONLY) Contract
ON-SITE - Folsom Street, San Francisco 94107
Rate: $47 - 52/hr W2
Our client is seeking an experienced Audio-Visual Engineer to join its growing IT Team and support AV and event operations at their offices globally. Based in our San Francisco office, you will be primarily responsible for our event and conference room spaces globally.
You are someone who asks questions, is confident in not knowing everything, and would rather collaborate with others than go it alone. You are crisp and detail oriented, but able to work outside of the boundaries when necessary. On top of your proven history of success, you have a passion for technology and, like us, you value hard work and fun in equal measure.
Responsibilities
Plan and support events ranging from 300+ person external events to small team meetings. Collaborate with stakeholders to meet specific technology needs for events. Perform daily checks of conference rooms and presentation spaces to ensure full functionality. Operate a wide range of A/V production equipment (Yamaha Mixers, Tricaster, ETC Lightboards, Zoom, Google Meet). Troubleshoot A/V and network-related issues affecting event setups and performance. Maintain detailed technical documentation, including runbooks and troubleshooting guides. Train end-users and devise on-the-fly solutions for events. Organize and maintain event production inventory and storage spaces.
Requirements
3+ years of experience in corporate live events, conference center operations, or hotel A/V support. Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to devise creative solutions on the fly. Flexible schedule to support occasional night or weekend events. Proficiency with event production and conferencing technology (Yamaha, Tricaster, Blackmagic ATEM, Crestron, Zoom Rooms). Experience with collaboration and ticketing software (gSuite, Asana, Zendesk). Skilled in event coordination and project management with attention to detail. Effective communication skills and familiarity with presentation and media editing tools (Keynote, PowerPoint, Photoshop).
The estimated pay range for this position is USD $47.00/Hr - USD $52.00/Hr. Exact compensation and offers of employment are dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, licenses or certifications, and location. We also offer comprehensive benefits.
