We are seeking a
Civil Engineer III- Transportation Plans
to join our Chicago, IL team! Come join us! Job responsibilities include but are not limited to: Develop transportation plans and design transportation systems that improve safety and mobility including but not limited to traffic signals, signal systems, ITS, signs and markings Conduct traffic studies and analyze traffic data to determine patterns and trends Prepare reports, specifications, and designs for transportation projects Assist/develop with the preparation of project budgets and schedules Review and comment on transportation plans that improve safety and mobility including but not limited to traffic signals, signal systems, ITS, signs and markings Develop traffic signal timing and programming plans Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies and community organizations Provide technical support and guidance to project teams Stay up to date with advances in transportation/traffic engineering and technology Conduct site visits and field investigations as needed BS degree in Civil Engineering 5 years of experience in traffic engineering 2 years of experience as a project/task lead with transportation engineering projects Technical requirements: Certifications/License's: PE, PTOE (preferred) Technical and/or report writing Experience with CDOT and IDOT District 1 Traffic Signal Design Federal and Illinois MUTCD Strong Familiarity with ADA/PROWAG • Strong Familiarity with Microstation, HCS, Synchro Other miscellaneous qualities: Travel anticipated for 5% of the time Dedication to safety and being part safety-oriented culture Agreeable to working off site at client offices for extended periods of time Atlas offers a comprehensive benefit program to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
