The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient processing of accounting information and is familiar with standard operating procedures related to Human Resources, Loss Prevention, and Aimbridge Hospitality standards. Management-level associates are expected to work as much of each workday as necessary to fulfill their responsibilities; OEM associates are subject to overtime, which is calculated accordingly. Exempt managers must regularly direct the work of at least 3 full-time associates or their equivalents. Their primary duties should involve administrative, executive, or professional tasks more than 50% of the time, with discretion and independent judgment exercised over 50% of the time. Responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS: Associate's degree with at least 3 years of related experience; or a Bachelor's degree with at least 1 year of related experience; or at least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field. Proficiency in Windows OS, spreadsheet manipulation, report generation, and basic PC troubleshooting. Supervisory experience required. Strong communication skills; ability to evaluate options quickly and accurately. Ability to work well under pressure and handle workplace problems proactively. Capacity to assimilate complex information from various sources and adapt as needed. Effective listening, understanding, and problem resolution skills. Ability to understand financial data and perform basic arithmetic functions. Responsibilities: Maintain regular attendance per Aimbridge Hospitality standards. Maintain high standards of appearance and grooming, including dress code and name tag wearing. Approach all interactions with guests and employees courteously and service-oriented. Ensure compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and safety regulations. Understand Aimbridge Hospitality's organizational structure and department functions. Oversee duties of the General Cashier, including daily reconciliations. Maintain over/short logs and controls for all cashier banks. Post city ledger payments daily and prepare bank deposits. Manage accounts receivable billing, credit policies, and collections. Conduct credit meetings and maintain records of approved accounts. Handle returned checks and chargebacks. Perform monthly accounts receivable balancing. Manage special accounts and petty cash funds. Voucher invoices following SOPs and ensure timely invoice submission. Perform daily income audits and prepare reports. Complete month-end procedures and monitor guest services and night audit work. Oversee training of Night Auditors on accounting responsibilities. Process bi-weekly payroll, ensure employee paperwork accuracy, and compute worked hours. Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times. Operate hotel systems per standards and perform other duties as assigned by the GM. Property Details
