As a Senior Digital Engineer, you will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams designing, developing, and verifying high reliability digital electronics for various applications, including processor/FPGA boards, low power electronics, and advanced packaging techniques. You will help shape digital hardware architectures and lead electronics development activities, applying sound engineering and project management principles. The Tailored Systems Business Area within the Electronics Program Office delivers innovative microelectronics solutions supporting National Security missions. You will be part of a fast-paced, successful team supporting complex projects. Duties/Responsibilities
Translate project and system requirements into hardware architectures. Design and develop microprocessors, power, and analog components. Solve issues creatively, drive project completion, and collaborate effectively. Build, test, debug prototypes, and prepare manufacturing documentation. Research and implement innovative design solutions. Develop reliable, cost-effective solutions in collaboration with engineers and partners. Address complex problems independently, contribute to requirements, and adapt to changes. Perform complex electronic architectures and designs independently. Provide insights and suggest modifications based on simulations. Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies. Manage tasks with multiple engineers and communicate progress to leadership. Mentor less experienced engineers and provide constructive feedback. Skills/Abilities
Proficiency in electronic design, microprocessors, or embedded computing. Understanding of computer architecture and design specifications. Programming and coding skills. Excellent communication, mathematical, organizational, and time management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to prioritize and understand engineering theories and procedures. Education & Experience
Bachelor's in Electronic or Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred). 5-7 years of relevant experience. Additional Qualifications
Schematic capture and board layout experience. Embedded systems debugging experience. Circuit simulation using HyperLynx and ANSYS. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Mentor Graphics PCB design flow. Experience with Xilinx or Microchip FPGA/SOC design flow. Location & Security Clearance
Must be able to work at Draper facilities in Cambridge, MA. Current Top Secret government security clearance is required. Application & Inclusion
