Tax Director
to lead client relationships, develop emerging talent, and help shape the future of our practice. This leadership role is based in our Bluffton office—an area known for its charm, natural beauty, and thriving business community. In this role, you will: Lead a diverse portfolio of clients—ranging from individuals to owner-managed businesses—delivering high-quality tax planning and compliance services. Oversee all phases of the tax engagement, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope. Serve as a trusted advisor, fostering proactive and responsive communication to build long-term relationships. Identify areas to improve processes and strengthen the efficiency and effectiveness of our tax function. Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior and mid-level staff, supporting their professional growth. Manage engagement economics, including billing, budgeting, and client profitability. Drive market visibility through community engagement and business development efforts in the Bluffton area. Remain current on tax legislation and industry trends to enhance client value and ensure compliance. What we’re looking for: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required) Active CPA license (required) 10+ years of progressive experience in public accounting with strong focus on both individual and business taxation A collaborative mindset and desire to contribute to the success of others Outstanding written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities Demonstrated ability to manage multiple engagements and lead teams effectively Let’s talk if you’re ready for a leadership role with purpose, professional freedom, and a pathway to impact—in your career, your firm, and your community.
