Summary:
Under the supervision of a higher-level professional nurse, the Charge Nurse will assist in the clinical management of patients using accepted nursing practices, including diagnosis and treatment of human responses to health problems through services such as case findings, health counseling, and care support or restoration of life and well-being. The role involves executing medical regimens prescribed by physicians. Supervision is exercised over professional nurses, aides, and clerical staff, including practical training and staff development.
Licensure and Certifications: Current license in New York State as a Registered Professional Nurse. Certified in Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association. Additional certifications as required in specialty areas.
Experience:
Minimum of one year of professional nursing experience required.
