Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified School Nurse (CSN) to join our student services team. The Certified School Nurse promotes health and safety, supports student success, and provides direct health services within the school setting.

Certified School Nurse
QUALIFICATIONS:
- National Certified School Nurse (NCSN) credential
- Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid and/or Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Experience working in schools or with children is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct Health Screenings: Perform routine health assessments, including vision and hearing screenings, growth measurements, and immunization status checks.
- Evaluate Health Needs: Assess students' health needs and identify any health issues that may affect their learning.
- Administer Medications: Safely administer prescribed medications and treatments to students during school hours, following established protocols.
- Manage Medical Records: Maintain accurate records of medications, dosages, and administration times, ensuring compliance with state laws and school policies.
- Provide Health Education: Educate students and staff about health topics, including nutrition, hygiene, physical fitness, and disease prevention.
- Respond to Emergencies: Provide first aid and emergency care to students and staff in case of accidents or medical emergencies.
- Monitor Immunization Compliance: Ensure students meet state immunization requirements and keep accurate records of immunizations.
- Coordinate Health Screenings: Organize and oversee health screenings in collaboration with local health agencies or other professionals.
- Participate in IEP Meetings: Attend Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings for students with special health needs to provide insights on health-related accommodations.
