Job Title: Mid-Level Provider - Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Specialist
Location: Dallas, TX.
Job Type: Full-Time
Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Mid-Level Provider to join our team as a Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Specialist. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive care to patients in various settings, including inpatients, hospitals, Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) facilities, and Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs). The focus will be on delivering high-quality pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized care in pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine to patients in inpatient settings, hospitals, LTACs, and SNFs.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical guidelines.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
- Perform and interpret diagnostic tests, such as pulmonary function tests, and imaging studies.
- Manage acute and chronic respiratory conditions, including asthma, COPD, pneumonia, and sleep disorders.
- Provide critical care management, including ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and advanced life support.
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and preventive care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical protocols and guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
- Participate in on-call duties and rounding every 4th weekend.
- Willingness to travel to more than one location a day.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Nursing, Physician Assistant Studies, or a related field.
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of Texas.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine is preferable but open to new graduates.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based practices in pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions.
