Nurse Practitioner Job at Morongo Basin Healthcare District in Yucca Valley

The Morongo Basin Community Health Centers serve the communities of Yucca Valley and Twentynine Palms surrounding Joshua Tree National Park. Our health centers serve about 9000 patients in an underserved community.

Our Nurse Practitioners see between 20-25 patients a day on average, and partner with our physicians to provide quality health care to people who really need it. It is fast paced and hard work some times but very rewarding.

The Morongo Basin Community Health Center is looking for a provider to see patients in our Federally Qualified Health Center. With a Healthcare Provider Shortage Area (HPSA) score of 19, our providers are eligible for loan forgiveness through Health Resource and Services Administration (HRSA). We are looking for FNP's that want some flexibility but care about the patients and want to provide quality care along with our team of excellent providers. This position will be covering two locations in Yucca Valley and 29 Palms.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
1. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and Current California Nurse Practitioner license and possession of a current Nurse Practitioner Certification

2. Current California Nurse Practitioner furnishing number (DEA)

3. At least one year of experience in a clinic environment

4. Valid National Provider Identifier (NPI) and an approved Medi-Cal/Care provider
5. BLS certification
