Banyan Treatment Centers is looking for an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) to join our medical team in Stuart Florida.

The Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) is responsible for the comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. They play a key role in developing and evaluating mid-level personnel and ensuring the optimal medical management of the patient care unit.

Position Details:

  • Reports To: Medical Director
  • Schedule: Per-diem, as needed.
  • Location: Stuart, FL (On-site, required).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients, including history, physical exams, and psychiatric evaluations.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure integrated care that addresses both medical and psychiatric needs.
  • Document patient progress and make adjustments to treatment plans based on established policies and guidelines.
  • Provide primary care services and medical treatment, addressing both general health and addiction-related needs.
  • Supervise and instruct patients in self-administered medications, including injections, while offering health education.
  • Review lab results and provide treatment or make necessary referrals to specialists.
  • Manage therapies (pharmacotherapy and other treatments) per protocols approved by the Medical Director.
  • Diagnose and treat behavioral problems, offering recommendations for further care and intervention.
  • Order consultations with other medical specialists when needed.
  • Report findings from case reviews and consultations to the Medical Director.
  • Oversee infection control procedures, ensuring adherence to proper protocols and safety standards.
  • Evaluate patient care daily, review nursing documentation, and communicate with families regarding care progress.
  • Provide information to Utilization Review for determining appropriate levels of care.
  • Report infection control incidents to the Performance Team and Risk Management.

Required Qualifications:
  • Active license to practice as an ARNP in Florida.
  • Master's degree in Nursing with clinical training in a healthcare specialty area (from an accredited nursing school).
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
