Job Summary:
The Contract nurse reports to the Branch Manager. This position evaluates the competency of individuals to provide Home Health Aide services in the Help at Home, LLC’s comp lab or in the clients’ home, as allowed. Additionally, provider agrees to complete the HHA competency assessment to meet the requirements of the HHA licensure registry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide professional services described herein as an independent contractor.
- Evaluates the competency of individuals to provide home health aide services
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Physicians’ orders-HHA Plan of Care
- Documentation/Advance Directives/DNR
- Reporting change in patient condition or skin condition/breakdown
- Reporting change in body function/Pain Mgt.
- Communication skills/ability to read, write, and report clinical info to clients, family and other caregivers
- Vital signs – temp, pulse and respirations
- Infection control/Hazardous Waste
- Recognizing emergencies/Emergency Preparedness
- Maintenance of a clean, safe, and healthy environment
- Basic elements of body functioning and reportable changes
- Grooming (hair, nail, and skin care)
Education and Experience:
- One year experience of homecare
- Minimum of 2 years nursing experience
- Must be a registered nurse.
