This position is located in the Diabetes Program within the Division of Public Health at the Crownpoint Healthcare Facility, Crownpoint, New Mexico. The purpose of the position is to facilitate all aspects of multidisciplinary programs dedicated to educating, treating, and monitoring individuals diagnosed with diabetes mellitus, as well as implementing preventive programs.
Duties

Requirements
- Selectee may be subject to a probationary/trial period.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
This position is covered by Public Law 101-630, requiring contact or control over Indian children. The agency must ensure that persons hired for these positions have not been found guilty of or pleaded nolo contendere or guilty to certain crimes.
IHS Selectees working in an IHS health care facility may be subject to Employee Health Policies related to Measles and Rubella, COVID-19, and seasonal influenza immunizations. Vaccine exemption requests may be available according to the National and/or Service Unit guidance.
The selected individual must obtain and maintain medical staff clinical privileges, including any licensure requirements. Failure to do so may result in adverse actions, including removal from Federal service.
