RNA - Full Time (Healthcare)

Assist residents with exercises to improve or maintain mobility and independence. Encourage residents to be active and out of bed unless contraindicated. Assist with transfers, ambulation, and range of motion exercises. Provide clean clothing and linens in good repair. Assist with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene, including skin care, grooming, oral hygiene, shaving, and nail care. Change residents' positions to prevent skin issues and assist with elimination needs, including managing catheter bags and providing bedpans and urinals.

Create a warm, positive, and calm environment. Report significant changes in residents' conditions or concerns to the Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nursing, or Therapy Department. Assist residents in preparing for medical tests, activities, social programs, appointments, and meals. Provide pressure-relieving devices and skin protection measures. Serve in a maintenance capacity in the therapist or consultant's absence if needed.

Supervisory Requirements

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current CNA certification and Restorative Aide Training.
• Current CPR certification.
• One year experience in a long-term care facility preferred.

Skills and Certifications

• Ability to read and understand technical procedures and policy manuals.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with managers and employees.
• Mathematical skills including fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
• Problem-solving and interpretative skills for instructions and situations.
• Current CNA, CPR, and Restorative Aide certificates. Knowledge of PCC preferred. Maintain all continuing education and licensing requirements.

Physical Demands

Frequent standing, walking, reaching, pushing, pulling, talking, hearing, tasting, and smelling. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Good vision for close, distance, and peripheral perception.

Work Environment

Typically low to moderate noise levels. Reasonable accommodations available for disabilities. Management may assign or reassign duties as needed.
