The Staff Backend Engineer has/is:

A senior/staff-level backend engineer (8+ years experience) to& own backend architecture& for a next-gen restaurant OS.
Expertise in& scalable cloud systems on AWS& (Aurora, DynamoDB, Kafka, etc.).
Experience building& microservices and real-time systems& for things like forecasting, scheduling, and kitchen orchestration.
Hands-on experience integrating& LLMs and agentic AI& into production systems.
Ability to design for& fast iteration& today and& SaaS scalability& tomorrow.
Strong technical leadership, including& mentorship and architectural vision.
You’ll build the tech foundation that could& replace legacy systems like Toast/Olo.
You’ll launch real products like& AI-powered restaurant interfaces& and& dynamic forecasting tools

Base Salary: $200,000

Equity: Meaningful ownership in the company

On-site, Flexible: Work in NYC with direct access to the restaurant testbed
