Role Overview

We're hiring a Software Engineer, Media Expert to develop and maintain the code for our sports-focused video platform. You'll work on the core systems that ingest, store, and distribute video and audio, helping us integrate game data with our video to create analytics and engaging experience for coaches, players and fans.

Key Responsibilities

• Platform Development: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code for our media management platform, focusing on backend services for video/audio ingest, processing, and distribution.
• Systems Integration: Design and build robust APIs to connect our media systems with data and analytics engines, ensuring seamless integration and high performance.
• Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in the codebase, optimizing for scalability and reliability to handle high volumes of media traffic.
• Collaboration: Work closely with product managers and other engineers to translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver high-quality features on time.
• Maintenance & Support: Troubleshoot and debug production issues, providing timely solutions to maintain platform stability.

Qualifications

• Technical Skills: Strong programming skills in Python. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and media-specific technologies (FFmpeg, HLS, DASH).
• Experience: Direct experience working with video in real-time and VOD systems.
• Problem-Solving: A strong ability to analyze complex technical problems and devise innovative, scalable solutions.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous in writing code and conducting thorough testing to ensure a high standard of quality.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts and collaborate effectively with a team.
