Job Responsibilities

  • Safely operates Powered Industrial Trucks by securing material prior to transferring to or from storage locations.
  • Support two plants with the potential to support other plants, in the area of receiving, storing, staging & shipping material as needed.
  • Support ongoing Plant Operations planned outages, unplanned outages & maintenance activities at the various sites.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory incoming, outgoing, receipts, transfers & bin movement (both in the Maximo system and all hardcopy records).
  • Maintain clean and orderly warehouse facilities that comply with good business practices and all safety regulations.
  • Perform quarterly cycle counts and participate in annual inventories.
  • Work with each plant’s material specialist, inventory champion, plant personnel and on-site plant management to ensure accuracy of materials received, put away, issued and/or returned.
  • Provides good customer support for site personnel.
  • Timely resolution of inbound/outbound freight issues
  • Receive, unload, inspect, label, store, stage, load and ship materials.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and provide reports as requested.
  • Dust, clean and maintain warehouse and storage areas to comply with good business practices.
  • Prepare for and perform full Annual Inventories, Quarterly Cycle Count inventories.

Job Qualifications

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent is required. Associate or bachelor’s degree in business or technology related field preferred.
  • Experience: Five (5) years of warehouse experience in utility, generation, transmission, distribution industry.
  • Equivalent Experience: Seven (7) years warehouse experience in non-utility, generation, transmission, distribution, or related industry.
  • Licenses: Valid driver’s license that meets the insurance eligibility requirements & Forklift certification required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to physically meet job requirements, standing, kneeling, climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs, standing up to 10 hours.
  • Great attendance and ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to commute. This position requires travel between two (or more) locations. Working one day in one location and the next day at a different location.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines with strong attention to details.
  • Background check and drug screen based on job location/requirements
