Janitza North America is hiring: Warehouse Associate in Ashburn

Janitza LP is the North American arm of Janitza electronics GmbH, a leading German manufacturer of electrical power monitoring hardware and software. A family-owned business, we make hardware and software to measure and analyze power quality measures for our data center and industrial manufacturing customers. With our tools, companies can take action to reduce energy costs, improve uptime, and decrease their carbon footprint. Our North American branch was established in 2018, and our team is growing quickly. We're looking for a Warehouse Associate to help maintain accuracy and organization, process shipments, manage inventory, and support daily operations.

Who You Are

Reporting to our Warehouse & Logistics Manager, as the Warehouse Associate, you are a dependable and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You take pride in maintaining accuracy and organization, whether you're processing shipments, managing inventory, or supporting daily operations. You're comfortable using warehouse equipment and learning new systems like SAP ERP, and you communicate effectively across various platforms. You work well independently but also value being part of a team that keeps things running smoothly. Safety, efficiency, and a strong work ethic are central to how you approach your day.

What You'll Do

• Process inbound and outbound shipments in a timely and organized manner
• Accurately pick and pack items based on order requirements
• Inspect incoming shipments for any damages, defects or errors
• Restock and organize inventory on racks and shelves as needed
• Assist with regular inventory counting and cycle counts
• Ensure work and storage areas are clean and maintained

Required Skills

• Basic computer literacy with the ability to learn and operate within SAP ERP system
• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment including but not limited to pallet jacks, electric stackers, barcode scanners, etc.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order processing
• Effective communication skills across multiple platforms (i.e. in-person, phone, email, etc.)
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision as well as collaboratively within a team
• Comfortable climbing and working at various heights using ladders or step stools
• General understanding of warehouse safety practices, policies and procedures

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience with SAP ERP system
• Previous warehouse or material handling experience
• General understanding of logistics and shipping processes
• OSHA 10 certification (or able to obtain, company will provide)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lb regularly and occasionally heavier items up to 75lb with assistance
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching and reaching overhead
