Position Summary

The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for using safe lifting techniques, efficiently sorting, handling, loading, and unloading freight from over-the-road equipment, containers, city trailers, and/or straight trucks. The Warehouse Associate uses hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts in the loading and unloading of freight and other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Operates all material handling equipment in a safe manner
  • Works with different departments to meet demands of the business
  • Communicates any issues related to loading and unloading to the supervisor
  • Keeps up to date with new systems and technology
  • Participates in daily inventory processes, auditing and researching discrepancies
  • Demonstrates reliability and punctuality
  • Performs all job tasks as assigned (may vary depending on client requirements)

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities)

  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work well with a team
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work overtime (as needed) to meet operational and customer demands
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities)

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
