Job Description

The Warehouse Materials Handler oversees material transportation, preparation, and staging for daily production. Duties include loading, unloading, and moving materials, monitoring inventory levels, and maintaining workstation supplies. They assist with overall warehouse operations, including receiving, stowing, picking, packing, and documentation. Additionally, they support layout planning, workflow optimization, and ensure safety and security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate materials-handling equipment proficiently to move large volumes of materials.
  • Execute loading, unloading, and pallet moving tasks with precision and efficiency.
  • Ensure assembly workstations are adequately stocked with materials and supplies.
  • Process orders, handle inventory management tasks, and facilitate the retrieval of component parts as needed.
  • Stage and deliver materials promptly and accurately in alignment with production schedules.
  • Maintain meticulous records of material usage and actively participate in scheduling discussions.
  • Demonstrate the ability to follow management instructions diligently while also working independently to meet predetermined schedules.
  • Contribute to general maintenance and cleaning tasks within the warehouse environment.
  • Flexibly undertake any other duties as assigned to meet evolving organizational needs.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred, or at least 2 years of relevant experience in warehouse operations or material handling.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory systems and processes to ensure accurate tracking and management of stock levels.
  • Physical capability to lift 50 lbs and perform various tasks, including standing, kneeling, sitting, and climbing stairs.
  • Compliance with safety protocols, including the mandatory use of safety glasses.
  • Availability and willingness to work overtime as assigned.
