Warehouse Associate / Forklift Operator

Overview

A leading stone distributor and fabrication partner is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Warehouse Associate / Forklift Operator to support their growing team. This hands-on role blends logistics, equipment operation, and inventory coordination in a fast-paced warehouse and slab yard environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesReceiving & Inventory
  • Receive and inspect incoming materials, including stone, sinks, and small packages.
  • Unload and load trucks safely and efficiently.
  • Process all related documentation and packing slips within 24 hours.
  • Maintain accurate records in warehouse management systems (e.g., Moraware).
  • Support regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
  • Ensure all materials are stored in proper locations and accessible to internal teams.
Warehouse & Yard Operations
  • Operate forklifts, clamps, boom lifts, and related equipment.
  • Keep the warehouse and slab yard clean, safe, and well-organized.
  • Assist with light mechanical repairs and upkeep of yard vehicles and tools.
  • Transport waste material to landfill as needed.
  • Deliver or pick up materials using company vehicles.
  • Support CNC operations and other production-related needs when requested.
Team Collaboration
  • Assist other departments in locating and accessing materials.
  • Communicate clearly and proactively with supervisors and teammates.
  • Promote a safe work environment and immediately report hazards or concerns.
  • Participate in new hire training and team onboarding as needed.
  • Maintain positive, respectful working relationships across departments.
What You Bring
  • Experience in warehouse, yard, or distribution environments preferred.
  • Forklift operation experience (certification a plus).
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to safely lift and move heavy materials.
  • Mechanical aptitude or interest in maintaining tools/equipment is a plus.
  • A proactive mindset and willingness to jump in where needed.
