Position Purpose:

The Shredding Specialist is responsible for receiving, segregating, and loading wastepaper into a paper shredder, along with various traditional warehouse support duties. The role involves coordinating truck parking for the next day and contributing to a safe, harmonious work environment as part of the local operations team.

Key Job Activities:

1. Unload shredded paper, media, and product from trucks nightly.
2. Reload trucks with equipment needed for the next day's tasks.
3. Operate and maintain baling machinery.
4. Ensure paper bales are staged or loaded for shipment.
5. Support off-site shredding programs.
6. Safeguard plant hardware and security systems.
7. Operate and perform maintenance on forklifts.
8. Maintain a clean, safe working area per standards.
9. Clean truck compartments and cabs nightly.
10. Perform preventative maintenance on equipment regularly.
11. Maintain supplies for operations.
12. Follow security and safety policies, reporting concerns to management.
13. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Experience:

At least 1 year in manufacturing or warehouse environments preferred; 6+ months as a certified forklift driver with basic maintenance skills preferred. Valid driver's license with a good driving record required. Forklift certification is a plus. Ability to interpret reports and understand manufacturing operations is beneficial.
