Job Summary
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for performing warehouse related functions of handling merchandise and product incoming or outgoing including shipping, receiving, transferring, stocking, picking, and pulling product for customers, vendors, and branch locations as required.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Performs general warehouse duties across all departments, including handling inbound and outbound freight
Accurately fills sales orders and transfers, ensuring proper distribution to shipping or will-call
Supports shipping, receiving, transfers, and unloading; matches purchase orders to sales orders for processing
Moves, sorts, and stocks materials efficiently according to product specifications and storage systems
Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment for employees and customers
Loads and secures products following standard procedures and handles bills of lading and exceptions properly
Operates warehouse tools and equipment safely and adheres to standard operating procedures for logs and assigned aisle responsibilities
Accurately marks products or orders using appropriate identification methods and assists with physical inventory counts
Ensures merchandise is handled with accuracy and efficiency, following proper procedures for verification and error reporting
Inspects all products for damage and promptly notifies a supervisor when issues are identified
Reports inventory and location discrepancies in a timely manner
Follows all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE, safe lifting techniques, and compressed gas handling
Conducts safety inspections and operates material handling equipment in compliance with safety standards
Secures products during vehicle loading to prevent damage or shifting
Proactively identifies, corrects, and reports unsafe conditions to maintain a safe work environment
Adheres to all company policies and procedures as outlined in employee, operations, and safety manuals
Performs facility maintenance tasks as assigned to support a safe and efficient warehouse environment
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent
1+ year of experience in warehousing or related functions
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and general office technology, including virtual platforms
Physical Demands & Work Environment
This position requires approximately 40–43 hours per week and involves routine physical activity, including:
Frequent lifting of 25–50 lbs. (up to 100 lbs. occasionally), and pushing/pulling loads up to 300 lbs.
Operation of forklifts and material handling equipment for extended periods (up to 6 hours daily)
Regular bending, climbing, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and sustained use of hands, arms, and feet
Periods of sitting, standing, walking, and twisting throughout the shift
