Job Description
Title: Temp to Perm: Warehouse Associate
FLSA: Hourly/Non-Exempt
Reports To: Warehouse Department Manager
Position Summary: The Warehouse Associate is a detail-oriented individual that manages incoming and outgoing material which could include receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping. Some tasks may be performed in an ISO Class 8 cleanroom or flow-hood controlled environment. Proper gowning procedures will be followed.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Successfully pick, scale-count, pack, and ship orders using WMS/ERP software and devices
- Manually palletize and prepare shipments for pickup along with all associated documentation.
- Accurately perform order fulfillment activities and assist with inventory control measures.
- Ability to understand inventory principles and material movement functions.
- Analyze special instructions and follow customer order requirements.
- Verify parts to ensure the correct part was selected and no visual contaminants are present.
- Communicate and address any issues that prevent the processing of customer orders.
- Follow controlled ISO and Environmental, Health & Safety procedures.
- Maintain safe operation of all necessary equipment in the work area.
- Assist in general warehouse and facilities activities when needed.
- Appropriately report/record any product or process discrepancies.
Education/Technical Certifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience:
- Hands-on warehouse experience preferred.
- General understanding of warehouse operations and layouts a plus
- ERP experience preferred.
- Experience in a cleanroom is a plus.
Skillsets:
- Operate inventory control equipment, i.e., bar-coding equipment, handheld devices as required.
- Ability to understand and execute instructions.
- Good interpersonal skills both verbal and written.
- Solid reading & reasoning skills.
- Ability to stand for 8 hours a day.
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Position may require climbing ladders for top-level selection.
- Specific vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception and focus adjust.
