U.S. Lumber, an SBP brand, is currently looking for Warehouse Associates to join our VALUES based organization who are responsible for loading, unloading, sorting, staging, transporting, and handling products that come into and move out of the warehouse. Individuals in this position must work cooperatively with other Associates and productively with little supervision while following U.S. Lumber safety policies and procedures.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions
- Safely operate forklift and other machinery
- Band, wrap, tape product
- Maintain work area and be organized
- Identify and read tickets, SKUs, UPC labels, and reports
- Great attention to detail and accuracy
- Be able to stand and work on your feet throughout the shift as a normal routine
- Be able to bend, stoop, reach, twist, squat, push, pull, move, and lift to 50lbs
- Work in an outside warehouse environment
- Follow all safety procedures
- Work in a team environment
- Other duties may be assigned
- Be aware of temporary cracks in the floor due to forklifts and heavy equipment traveling through the Warehouse, causing uneven walking surfaces
- Warehouse environment can be dusty and noisy
- Fluctuations of temperature are common (below freezing to 100+); some outdoor exposure during the workday
- Wet floors may occur during rainy or snowy weather or at other times depending on the environment
Required Credentials
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must have basic math and analytical skills
- Must be computer literate, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Self-starter, proactive, and able to take initiative
