Hourly Range: $21-$24
Responsibilities
- Compiles and maintains records of quantity, type, and value of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies stocked in establishment by performing the following duties:
- Counts material in stock and posts totals to inventory records.
- Compares actual inventories to records in Metalware.
- Adjusts errors in computation or count and/or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies.
- Employees must be willing to assist in other areas of operations as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or one-year certificate from college or technical school
- Experience in metals industry is preferred
- Effective communication skills which include verbal and written in English
- Basic computer skills are necessary
- Must have experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
- Willingness to learn mainframe program (internal computer system)
- Ability to read a tape measure, micrometer, or other measuring device
- Willingness to learn to operate forklift/side loader and such along with cutting equipment
- Knowledge of basic math skills
Physical Demands
- Position requires standing, sitting, stooping, and kneeling
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, with assistance
- Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception with or without corrected vision
- Willingness to work in an environment with varying temperature degrees
