Gourmet Foods International is hiring: Warehouse Associate in Decatur

You’ll be part of the dedicated warehouse team delivering delicious specialty foods items to our customers. Our fast-paced, physical roles involve receiving trucks full of orders, preparing them for delivery, loading conveyor belts, and transporting and staging deliveries for drivers.

What does your day look like? Some of your duties may include:

1. Unload, receive, and store incoming inventory items.
2. Operate an RF handheld device to scan, pull, and pack items to fulfill orders.
3. Follow prompts on screens and adhere to instructions for various tasks.
4. Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and packages.

What you need to be able to do:

• Lift up to 75 lbs., carry up to 50 lbs., push/pull up to 30 lbs. of force.
• Ascend and descend a step that is 10 inches high from the floor.
• Excellent communication skills, ability to follow directions, meet deadlines, and work independently.
• Stand for extended periods.
• Reach and bend as needed.

Preferred but not required:

• Previous warehouse or cold storage experience.
• Pallet jack operation experience or stand-up forklift certification.

Schedule:

• Order Selector: 6 PM until completion, approximately 8-10 hours per night.
• Shipping: 8 PM until completion, approximately 8-10 hours per night.
