Overview
Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for an Administrative Assistant, supporting TOS II, at AEDC in Arnold AFB, TN. The Administrative Assistant will be working as a member of the Asset Management Directorate and is responsible for supporting the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts. The Asset Management Directorate performs cutting edge technology development work in support of the National Defense Strategy.

Job Summary
The successful candidate will be highly organized, have effective verbal and written communication skills, be able to work with discretion and confidentiality, possess proven time management skills, be proactive, and be willing to continually learn new duties and skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and secretarial support of a responsible and confidential nature and perform document control and records management to help ensure smooth department operations. Maintain accuracy, initiative, discretion, diplomacy, and adherence to company policies and safety practices.
- Support the Asset Management organization, including the director, branch managers, engineers, supervisors, and craftsmen who support AEDC facilities and utilities operation and maintenance.
- Receive and screen phone calls and direct them to appropriate parties; ensure coverage for management during their absence.
- Compose and distribute complex correspondence; stay informed on key issues, commitments, and priorities of management.
- Research information and prepare briefing charts, summary reports, and other presentation materials.
- Track and coordinate with employees any required training.
- Schedule meetings, appointments, and coordinate travel arrangements as needed.
- Serve as IT Equipment Custodian for the department and as vehicle control officer for the department.
- Maintain office supplies and ensure availability when needed.
- Develop and implement procedures and filing/records systems, including data entry and records management.
- Support scheduling, onboarding (DD2875 and applications), and workstation equipment ordering.
- Support engineering processes related to vaulting documents, procedures, and work instructions; support engineering procurement processes.
- Determine actions on important or emergency matters or know whom to contact in the manager’s absence.
- Wear PPE in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
- Perform other duties as required.
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent plus five years of applicable experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation, formats, vocabularies and terminology common to the assignment, document control and records management systems, and professional telephone practices.
- Ability to obtain a BNH purchasing card.
- Strong organizational skills and proficiency in word processing and composition; minimum typing speed of 55 wpm.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance to access the AEDC local area network.
- Current U.S. Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in an administrative or secretarial position.
- Knowledge of AEDC and AEDC processes.
