Responsibilities

In this role, you will travel to a disaster recovery site to assist with project administration, planning and oversight. Responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Scheduling meetings and maintaining correspondence in Microsoft Teams and Outlook;
  • Support personnel intake both in-person as well as via the claims office in-boxes;
  • Manage documents and files including the upload of personnel or claimant documentation;
  • Generate, review, and send determination letters;
  • Prepare technical and correspondence writings; and,
  • Provide administrative support services related to the work.

Required Skills & Required Experience

  • High School diploma
  • A minimum of five years of combined experience in administrative roles including customer service, data entry, document development, correspondence, adhering to federal guidance and policy, records management, and evaluating various types of administrative documents.
  • The ability to understand and interpret complex federal policy language, including relevant statutes, regulations, policies, guidance, and directions.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in administrative activities within an organization including customer service, data management, records management, time management, workload balancing, data reporting and tracking, and other administrative duties.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and knowledge and ability to explain policy and regulations to claimants, FEMA staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using administrative software, claims management software, databases, and other technology tools that facilitate claim processing, documentation, and communication.
  • Must be computer literate and proficient with MS Office Suite applications (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Must have strong interpersonal and customer relations skills.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen capable of passing a federal background investigation to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
